HEAVY IS THE HEAD. LET US MAKE LIGHT.
Every village carries something.
Stories. Traditions. Work. Grief. Joy. Memory. Responsibility. The things handed down to us—and the things we hope to leave behind.
Somebody has to carry them.
This year, Give Sanctuary begins with a call to the Guardians of the Culture: the artists, makers, neighbors, children, elders, dreamers, builders and keepers who understand that culture survives because somebody chooses to carry it forward.
On September 19, 2026, the Village gathers again at Pittsburgh Yards.
